The New Foster Care is honored to be featured in a recent article highlighting the heart, purpose, and community behind our work. The story lifts up our vision for transforming outcomes for youth aging out of foster care, the power of the Bridge Program, and the inspiring journeys of young adults like Gabriella. Together, we’re building pathways to belonging, stability, and hope.

Young adults aging out of foster care often face housing instability and limited support. Since 2017, our organization has worked to change that. In 2020, we launched the Bridge Program to provide wraparound guidance and resources, and now, we’re expanding that impact through the redevelopment of the former Plaza Hotel into safe, affordable housing with built-in community support.

We are honored to receive a $5,000 grant from the Young Foundation, made even more meaningful because their grandchild personally chose to support our mission. This generosity will fund one full year of wraparound services for a young adult aging out of foster care — offering guidance, resources, and hope for a brighter future.

Hope Apartments was recently featured on the news for transforming a once-blighted building into the nation’s largest investment in housing for youth aging out of foster care. The redevelopment includes 275 units, a 60,000 sq. ft. community center, and 30,000 sq. ft. of office space—offering stability, opportunity, and hope for young adults transitioning into independence.
